I would compare the Gold series to a Leon Jimenes Connecticut, except Oliva Gold is 1/3rd the price and twice as good.

The Gold series is outstanding in every way. They burn slow and even and have an almost too easy draw. The smoke that spills out is light on the palet, mild and creamy with an interesting sour dough flavor and a floral taste that increases a bit as you progress. The smoke is cool and passive. Now when I say passive, this is not a bad thing. Often, mild cigars are unfairly overlooked because they don’t have a ton of flavor. What many good mild cigars, including this on do, is take a back seat and really allow for great drink pairing possibilities.
