Nestor Miranda Special Selection Oscuro Aniversario The Danno
Introduced in 2008, the Nestor Miranda Collection, Special Selection, has become an enormous success. The 20 Aniversario version, the “Danno,” with a limited production of 2,000 boxes (1,000 boxes each medium bodied Habano Rosado, and the full bodied Habano Oscuro), has been an overnight sensation.
This Nestor Miranda Anniversario is exactly what it should be. A mellower, more refined and subtle version of the original NM SS.
Flavor: There's an earthy leathery finish that follows the flavors of cocoa and coffee that were pronounced in the pre-light. This is not the powerhouse you'de expect from the pre-light aroma and tingle on the lips when you wet the cap. The heavy ring guage is another throw off. Subtle flavors linger even when down to the ring and long after each puff. Just like the original NM SS, what truly makes the Special Slection Special is the aroma. As we all know, true taste is experience through the nose. The aroma is rich without while remaining mellow. The air that surrounds you while you smoke smells like cookies baking in the oven.
This is a 2 hour cigar if you smoke up to the ring, and 3 hours if you go to the nub. I always smoke these to the nub.
